Joe Dujmic's campaign for State Assembly has announced they have receievd the endorsement of the Suffolk County Probation Officers Association.
Probation Officers supervise approximately 14,000 individuals in the community; including juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony offenders. In addition, they conduct about 8,000 investigations annually to assist the courts in determining sentence. The members monitor approximately 400 registered sex offenders, play an integral role in Suffolk's anti-gang initiatives, and perform 24 hour monitoring of offenders through electronic monitoring and GPS technology.

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone on Friday released a proposed 2013 budget that erases the county's deficit while keeping increases under the state's 2 percent tax cap.
