As you may have heard, Assemblyman Jim Conte has decided to decline re-nomination for the seat he has held for the past 24 years, and is stepping down to concentrate on his health and family.
I hope you will join me in thanking Assemblyman Conte for his long record of service to the people of Huntington and Babylon and in wishing him all the best in his retirement.
I am committed to continuing a new era of progress by working for truly independent redistricting reform, ending costly unfunded mandates upon our schools and local governments, and by bringing high-paying careers back to Long Island through smart economic development.
My future opponent will now be selected by local GOP leaders. Regardless of who the nominee is, he or she will be facing someone who began in earnest back in early February, someone who has walked the district since early Spring, someone who has earned the designation of the Working Families Party, someone who has built a small yet dedicated organization of volunteers and someone who, with your help, has set a new standard in raising funds for this race.
Thank you for all you have done in the past and I look forward to your continued support as we work together for the people of the 10th Assembly District and all of Long Island.
Sincerely,
Joe Dujmic
Candidate- 10th Assembly District
